USM Studios Offers Advice on Video Marketing

It is the new way to advertise a brand, a company or both, and it’s taking off like wildfire. USM Studios offers experienced advice on video marketing.

Videos are set to hit the social sites like confetti at a parade and at the same pace in the next few years. Soon, it will be hard to visit any website or social networking site without having to watch a video. This, however, is not a bad thing, if the video’s intent is clear.

Companies and individuals are increasingly engaging in video marketing. It is a powerful tool for getting more visibility and getting a message out. It attracts clients, customers, which attracts more money. This form of marketing is reported to increase page one listing on Google keyword searches by more than half. This is significant.

There are several main aspects to good video marketing:

Purpose: what is the goal of the video and how will you plan to relay it in the video? If these objectives are known then it will be easy to determine the platform and how to distribute it.

Platform: There are a few different platforms to try with video. Live interviews, recorded advertisements, live webcasts or general video tours with voiceover. All of these are good options but the business objective should be known before choosing the platform.

Distribution: Where do you want the video to go? Who do you want to see it? How fresh will it be in six months? A year? Answer these questions and find the right distribution channels.

USM Studios Weighs in on the Top Employee Trends of the Future

What’s ahead for businesses and the people who work for them? USM Studios peers into the future to find out what employers and employees might contend with in future workplaces.

One of the top workplace subjects going into the future is the generational mix in the workplace. Companies will have a variety of ages, experience levels and knowledge levels to tap. Workers from different backgrounds can help each other adapt and learn new ways of getting specific tasks done. Another key component of businesses in the future will be managing off-site workers such as contractors, freelancers and others. As people aim to work from a more desirable location, such as the home or shared office space, employers may find telecommuters are loyal and work just as hard as in-house staff. But are more happy employees overall. Learn more about these employees, how and when they work best and give them the opportunity to fly.

Social media will also be a major factor in businesses of any size. BYOD (bring your own device) policies will become more standard as the older methods of assigning equipment to employees goes out the proverbial window. USM Studios,Inc. believes BYOD will be the equipment policy of the future, as some younger, technological companies are already in “bring your own” mode. Which way do you think your company will go?

USM Studios Reviews Earth Day Changes for Businesses

April 22 is Earth Day. Businesses can participate in activities on this day and every day by making some Eco-friendly changes suggested by USM Studios.

Every day can be Earth Day with just a few changes in the office or warehouse. Below are some ideas to get started:

Supply water coolers which recycled water. Avoid getting water delivered every month or buying single, serve bottles unless your company has recycling pick up.

Ask employees to bring in their own coffee cups to use instead of providing paper cups.

Choose Eco-friendly office supplies such as folders, tablets and other paper products made from recycled material.

Send printer cartridges back to the manufacturer to recycle.

Reuse shipping boxes.

Encourage employees to avoid printing documents unless absolutely necessary.

Remind staff in all work areas to turn the lights off when they leave the room.

USM Studios, Inc. also suggests using recycled printing paper, investing in motion-sensing lights in offices and motion-sending faucets in the bathrooms. Buy higher quality toilet tissue since lower quality brands mean having to use more.  Perk up the office and reception areas with live green plants. It looks and feels fresh and reminds visitors to go green.

USM Studios Examines the Popularity of Video Streaming Services

As standard cable and satellite services become more expensive, consumers are finding alternatives to paying the price. USM Studios examines the growing popularity of video streaming services.

There is hardly anyone who does not know the brand names Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Instant Video. These are the three top video streaming services in the U.S. Netflix is on the verge of launching in Japan and other countries.  What makes these services better than standard cable and satellite viewing is the price tag – they are affordable. They are affordable even when movies and TV shows are purchased a la carte. Local TV news may not be available, but most people get that on the Internet also.

The original programming on the video streaming services is first-rate and on par with that of network programming. Drama, comedy and reality shows is offered, new talent is discovered and uncovered. Gone is the advertising hype of network TV. Viewers can watch programs and films with very few commercials or none at all. USM Studios, Inc. also realizes that standard cable and satellite service will still be an option in the future. But in order to compete with popular streaming services, they will need to rethink price and provide better customer service.

USM Studios with Tips for Sleeping Better when Traveling

Sleep can be elusive when traveling due to jet lag, time changes and travel itself. USM Studios offers some tip for sleeping better when traveling.

One of the most challenging aspects of travel is how to get enough rest.

When flying, be sure to choose the best seats available for sleeping if the flight is long or an overnight flight. Stay away from aisle seats and seats in the very back of the plane. These can be busy spots. Bring something warm like a light blanket. Bring your own travel pillow. If a mask is needed to block out the light, bring one and use it. Avoid alcohol because it can cause one to feel drowsy now, but later make one feel restless.

Hotel rooms might seem like the perfect place to collapse on a bed after a full day of meetings or sightseeing. But sometimes, they can be hard to fall asleep in. USM Studios that downloading white noise apps or soothing, relaxing music can be a huge help. Charge the device and turn the sound on and drown out the fighting couple in the hallway.  Get some decent headphones – noise-cancelling—and ignore the partying in the next room. Close the blinds. And then your eyes. Good night.

USM Studios Re-Checks the Rules for Airport Security

Airport security lines can be terribly long and torture to slog though when in a bit of a rush. Fortunately, there are ways to get through it faster. USM Studios looks at the rules for airport security and offers tip for getting through it faster.

It is quite frustrating to get to the airport and find the line for security is incredibly long. This usually is the situation during any holiday time period.  How can the average passenger make it through the security without missing a flight?

Buy into the TSA Pre-check program for $85. Visit the TSA website online, complete the information on the form and schedule an appointment for a photo and fingerprinting. For those who think paying for the ease of getting through security is wrong: your opinion may change when you miss a flight because the security area was clogged with people.

Still don’t want to ante up the fee for TSA Pre-check? Do not wear belts, jackets or outerwear through security checkpoints. Be prepared to take shoes off. Grab a bin or two of them to use for shoes, jackets, tote bags, cosmetic bags, briefcases and other handheld items.

Personal care items must be packed in 3 ounce containers in a small, see-though baggies for both men and women. Larger bottles and containers of liquids are confiscated and thrown out.

USM Studios, Inc. also suggests emptying pockets of spare change and bills. If money must be put in the smaller objects bin, collect every last cent in it before leaving the security area. Don’t leave a single coin behind.

It can be easy and fast to get through airport security but it takes pre-planning beforehand. Think ahead and make it to the gate in plenty of time.
