USM Studios Re-Checks the Rules for Airport Security

Airport security lines can be terribly long and torture to slog though when in a bit of a rush. Fortunately, there are ways to get through it faster. USM Studios looks at the rules for airport security and offers tip for getting through it faster.

It is quite frustrating to get to the airport and find the line for security is incredibly long. This usually is the situation during any holiday time period.  How can the average passenger make it through the security without missing a flight?

Buy into the TSA Pre-check program for $85. Visit the TSA website online, complete the information on the form and schedule an appointment for a photo and fingerprinting. For those who think paying for the ease of getting through security is wrong: your opinion may change when you miss a flight because the security area was clogged with people.

Still don’t want to ante up the fee for TSA Pre-check? Do not wear belts, jackets or outerwear through security checkpoints. Be prepared to take shoes off. Grab a bin or two of them to use for shoes, jackets, tote bags, cosmetic bags, briefcases and other handheld items.

Personal care items must be packed in 3 ounce containers in a small, see-though baggies for both men and women. Larger bottles and containers of liquids are confiscated and thrown out.

USM Studios, Inc. also suggests emptying pockets of spare change and bills. If money must be put in the smaller objects bin, collect every last cent in it before leaving the security area. Don’t leave a single coin behind.

It can be easy and fast to get through airport security but it takes pre-planning beforehand. Think ahead and make it to the gate in plenty of time.
