Sleep can be elusive when traveling due to jet lag, time
changes and travel itself. USM Studios offers some tip for sleeping better when
traveling.
One of the most challenging aspects of travel is how to get
enough rest.
When flying, be sure to choose the best seats available for
sleeping if the flight is long or an overnight flight. Stay away from aisle
seats and seats in the very back of the plane. These can be busy spots. Bring
something warm like a light blanket. Bring your own travel pillow. If a mask is
needed to block out the light, bring one and use it. Avoid alcohol because it
can cause one to feel drowsy now, but later make one feel restless.
Hotel rooms might seem like the perfect place to collapse on
a bed after a full day of meetings or sightseeing. But sometimes, they can be hard
to fall asleep in. USM Studios that downloading white noise apps or soothing,
relaxing music can be a huge help. Charge the device and turn the sound on and
drown out the fighting couple in the hallway. Get some decent headphones – noise-cancelling—and
ignore the partying in the next room. Close the blinds. And then your eyes.
Good night.
