US Media Studios Reviews the Marks of Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurs are the movers and changers. They are the ones who can find innovative ways of fixing or correcting what does not work and what is broken.

Entrepreneurs mostly offer a service to everyone else. There is usually a piece of something ethical and good in what they offer. They want to help solve a common problem, or they found a new problem and are offering a correction for it. The solution or correction is offered for a cost. If the solution works, then the entrepreneur is rewarded by making money from it. But if the solution does not work well, is too lengthy or too complex, consumers won’t buy it. This is common sense. And this is honest entrepreneurship, as US Media Studios notes.

There are however an over abundance of newer businesses that seem to be copies of longer standing ones, performing the same types of services as the others, with far less experience and skills. While a brand new at-home business might seem like a great idea even its service solves a common problem, why add another entry into an already crowded field? All the social media posting and SEO-ing of the new enterprise will not necessarily pull in new accounts. It may bring questions, instead. It may or may not bring in any revenue. Too many social sites filling up the first two pages of a Google keyword search can look fishy to some consumers.

Consider instead what the consumer needs or wants and tailor the entrepreneurial endeavor in that direction. US Media Studios knows that this could very well be the golden egg in the basket.

US Media Studios Offers Insight into Sustainable Investing

Not many people have probably heard of sustainable investing. It sounds like someone is investing in the sustainable industry. This kind of investing is rather new and is making some waves in corporate boardrooms across the country.

Social change and investing to advance social, economic and environmental change is rapidly becoming the topic of choice in boardrooms. Companies want to show investors, employees and vendors that the corporation as whole is a caring one. Climate change is one way in which sustainable investing has become a major business topic. People want to know that companies are doing everything they can to reduce their footprint on the Earth.

The forward movement to invest more responsibly is known under several labels: ethical green and socially responsible, ESG or environmental, social or governance. US Media Studios notes that no matter what label corporate boards use, any positive movement that improves the world in which we live –here and far—is good. When social and ethical policies trickle down to employees chances are fewer will leave in the long run.

Sustainable investing can also applied individually when consumers do their part. Buy products and services from the companies with a solid ethical stance on the environment, climate change, and social issues. Shift investing portfolio options to more socially responsible corporate enterprises.

US Media Studios Offers Information for Business Travelers

For those who are still traveling for business, US Media Studios offers information that can help ease travel snafus.

Many travelers use third party travel websites to find the best rates on hotels, rental cars and flights. While this is pretty much the norm, and also good idea – it is still best to make the reservation with the hotel chain, car rental company or airline itself.

Nearly every travel consultant and trouble shooter will explain that booking through a travel aggregator site can lead to annoyance should something go wrong with travel plans.  For instance, someone who books a flight booked on a non-airline website that experiences a cancellation may find it hard to change the flight via the third party site. It can be frustrating to try and get a call through to that website’s customer service.  On the other hand, reserving the flight with the airline can result in getting the same fare, but it is also easier to get on another flight should the original one be canceled.

Business travelers who book with a favorite hotel through their website will find the perks well worth it. Digital check in is a nice benefit. Hotel chain loyalty programs can upgrade rooms and provide more perks with the room and the stay. It is often easier to cancel a reservation with the hotel itself than through the third party site.  US Media Studios also learns that business travelers can find terrific upgrades with favorite car rental companies. Use the alternative travel aggregator sites to find the best air fare, hotel room rate and car rental rate. But book the actual reservation with the airline, hotel and car rental agency. There is less stress should something go wrong.

US Media Studios Offers Financial Advice for Prospective Franchise Owners

What does it cost to open a franchise? What kind of franchise is most successful? USMedia Studios offers start-up tips for prospective franchise owners.

Many people think that owning and operating a franchise is a good idea for starting a business. It seems like a great entrepreneurial idea which comes wrapped in box of corporate readiness. Every aspect of opening and operating the franchise is available. Marketing, uniforms, and inventory, as well as the budget for them, is given. What is not given is back-up funds to keep operations running smoothly while it takes time to get things off the ground.

Here are a few thoughts to consider about starting a franchise business:
  • How much do you have to invest for the franchise fee and to set up operations? This will help you decide which industry to work in.
  • Which industry do you want to be involved with? For example: cleaning, exterminating, restaurant, or hotel?
  • What franchise brand do you want to join?

The majority of franchises cost about $50,000 to $75,000 to get started. Some cost more. Some cost less depending if the business will be a one person owned and operated company or one which requires employees and equipment.

US Media Studios also suggests considering the other costs which come before franchise expenses. These include legal fees to review contracts, building or space rental for the business, and professional fees for accountants and other business-related consultants. Many people choose to open and run a franchise because it offers them the freedom to run their own business. And it also gives them a valuable safety net which is the corporation in which their franchise belongs.

USM Studios Inc Examines the Three Questions Entrepreneurs Must Ask

No matter which industry or business one is in, there are three valuable questions to ask. USM Studios examines them.

Is the business making a profit? The only place to look to find an answer is on the net income statement. All expenses – direct and indirect – are on that statement. Bills paid are logged on it and after they are deducted, the business will know if they are earning a profit or not.

How is the cash flow running? The cash flow statement is needed to determine this. Customers and clients pay cash. But there are times when they don’t pay full price or a percentage of the price is deducted from a third party vendor. In any case, businesses usually pay in cash and it has to have enough to cover the bills for at least 90 days. The cash flow statement is an excellent indicator if the business is bringing enough cash in to keep on moving ahead.

What is the terminal value of the business? This is what most people start and run their businesses aim for: the day when they can sell it and make some money from the sale. A balance sheet will keep the owner up-to-date on the terminal value of their endeavor. It measures the assets, liabilities and equity of the business owner. USM Studios, Inc. encourages readers to evaluate these three needed documents every month to be sure nothing slips through the cracks.
