US Media Studios Highlights Women and Minority-Owned Businesses

The U.S. is lucky to have 10 million businesses owned by women and minorities. These are the innovative companies providing products and services across the country. US Media Studios highlights more information about them.

Women-owned businesses grew by almost 28 percent and continue to make their mark in the business sector. Women are also taking a greater share of companies in the nation. Hispanic women company owners have grown to an impressive 87 percent in five years, and African America women business owners rose 68 percent. These astounding rises in growth give hope to younger generations that they too can aspire to own and operate a business.

US Media Studios also notes that there was an influx of new small business owners in this time frame due to the Recession. People lost jobs and later started home-based businesses. Women and minority-owned companies tend to be small with perhaps 10 percent employing workers.

Small businesses are the backbone of the country. Without them, there would be far less places to find what we’re looking for.
